Pirates Cove ~ Luxury Pool Retreat with Hot Tub, Game Room & 6-Seat Cart

Misleading Listing, Broken Amenities, and Unacceptable CleanlinessThis was one of the most disappointing rentals I’ve ever stayed in and should not be advertised in its current condition.The home was dirty and unsanitary upon arrival. There were dirty pots and pans in the cabinets, visible grime throughout the house, mold in the upstairs shower, and bugs and spiders in the downstairs bathroom. The overall condition made us feel uncomfortable and gross staying there, which is completely unacceptable for a paid rental.The listing heavily advertises games and entertainment, but nearly all amenities were broken or unusable, making the listing misleading:Pool sticks were broken and missing cue tipsThe Pac-Man joystick would not move downward, making the game unplayableThe air hockey strikers were broken and falling apartThe air hockey table itself was damaged, causing the puck to repeatedly get stuck in broken ends of the tableThese are not minor issues — the amenities simply do not work.There were also multiple signs of neglect and disrepair throughout the home, including holes in the walls, tape stuck along the front door frame, and a broken locking chain on the downstairs bathroom door that leads to the backyard, which raised safety concerns.Overall, this property feels poorly maintained, inaccurately advertised, and not properly cleaned between guests. We were counting down the time until we could leave. I would strongly caution future guests and do not recommend it!

The host was exceptionally attentive and helpful. The home was perfectly situated in a safe and friendly neighborhood. Everything was well maintained and as described in the listing. Thank you for such a welcoming visit we truly enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommended.

We absolutely loved this house. It was spacious enough for my crew of 12. My kids and grandkids loved the games in the game room. I loved the fact that the downstairs bathroom lead out to the pool area which was an oasis in itself. We enjoyed every night out by the pool watching the kids play!

It was an absolute blast! Brought the whole family down and the house was absolutely the best part! Kids had a great time. The loved all the cats also lol! We was already looking at dates for next year to come back

Overall, I was satisfied with my stay and would stay here again. I was sent the wrong door code for arrival and had to call and get assistance, but that was easily resolved. I was disappointed with the refrigerator, all of the condiment shelves on the door were missing, and the shelf above the produce door was broken so this took a lot of space away to store food for 8 people for a week. The downstairs bedroom fan/light didnt work. The kitchen trashcan lid was broke, so everytime you tried to open it, it would fall off. There were no bikes or outside tv as mentioned in the original posting when i booked this reservation. The upstairs shower had tape that had been painted over. The time i did reach out to the host, they responded quickly. I did not reach out for everything, as it didnt affect my stay. I did like that there was a baby gate available, it helped corral the dogs downstairs. There were plenty of towels for everyone. The location was nice, quiet and close to the beach. The kitchen has plenty of cookware and dishes for every day dining. The palm trees in the back were pretty but could be trimmed back as we had to bend down in some spots. Its nice you can access the bathroom from the pool area without going through the house. The pool was nice. I would recommend this place to others and i would stay here again.
